    San Jose State football plays its season opener tonight against North Dakota at Spartan Stadium.
    Tune into 1590 KLIV for all of the action as the pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is set for seven.

    The 49ers play at the Houston Texans while the Raiders host the Seattle Seahawks.

    Buster Posey ended the game with a two-run homer to give Bruce Bochy his 16-hundredth managerial win.
    The series concludes this afternoon at AT&T Park.

    The Oakland A's got by the Houston Astros last night 5-4.
    Sam Fuld put the A's ahead for good in the top of the ninth with a two-run homer.
    Oakland plays tonight at the Los Angeles Angels.
    The A's are one back of the Angels for first place in the AL West.

    The San Jose Giants clobbered the Lake Elsinore Storm last night 13-0.
    The Giants pounded out a season-high 19 hits in the win.
    San Jose remains two games behind Visalia for the wild card playoff spot with just five games left in the season.
    The Giants go for the three game sweep tonight in Lake Elsinore.


    The San Jose Sharks commentary crew is shuffling around for the upcoming season.
    Former Shark Jamie Baker, who provided color commentary on Sharks radio broadcasts, will replace Drew Remenda as the television color commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Randy Hahn.
    NHL veteran Bret Hedican, who ran the pre-game show and did ice-side commentary for TV, will become color commentator of the radio broadcast alongside Dan Rusanowski.
    Finally, former San Jose Shark Curtis Brown will fill Bret Hedican's role in the pre-game show.
