The
San Jose Sharks scored six goals in the third period last night to
outlast the Nashville Predators 8-to-5. Joe Pavelski had two goals and
two assists in the win for the Sharks, who became the first team in
N-H-L history to win three games in a row when trailing after two
periods in all three contests. The Sharks host the Florida Panthers
tomorrow afternoon (1PM).
The Golden State Warriors lost their sixth straight game as they fell
to the Portland Trailblazers 110-to-105. The Warriors face the Toronto
Raptors tomorrow night at Oracle Arena.
San Jose State's basketball season came to an end last night as the
Spartans fell to New Mexico State 90-to-69 in the opening round of the
Western Athletic Conference tournament in Reno.
At the Pac-Ten tournament in Los Angeles, Stanford beat Arizona State
70-to-61, and Cal was also victorious beating Oregon 90-to-74.
In spring training play yesterday, the Mariners beat the Giants
6-to-2. The A's were victorious as they beat the Brewers 7-to-3.
