San Jose police officer arrested for marijuana posession
A 20-year veteran of the San Jose police department has been arrested after marijuana was found Tuesday in a storage space he had rented.
Police say they were called by management of Public Storage on Tully Road and Tenth Street who found what they say was a large amount of marijuana while clearing out the space rented by Officer Son Vu because of overdue payments.
An investigation was launched after it was determined the storage facility was rented by a San Jose police officer, and Vu was arrested.
The patrol officer has been booked on suspicion of marijuana possession for sale and cultivation, both felony charges.
Police say no other officers were involved in the suspected drug activity and they contend the arrest is an isolated case.
