Heavy delays and disruptions impacted the entire Caltrain line for the morning commute, after a train fatally struck a pedestrian in South San Francisco this morning.
Caltrain officials say the collision happened between Linden and Scott Streets at around 5:20 a.m. on southbound rails.
The accident is under investigation, and riders of the rail line experienced delays of up to 30 minutes, and in the case of one train, nearly an hour.
Tracks were re-opened in both directions at 7 a.m.
Some southbound and northbound trains were canceled this morning as well.
